Hot day - cool games

Despite it being a very hot day, we kept the hall to a comfortable temperature, with the help of the ceiling fans - the first time we've ever used them.

There were two "big" games played - Dune Imperium and Terraforming Mars, both of which make regular appearances at the club.

Amongst the other games played, were the ever-popular 6 Nimmt, 7 Wonders, and Century Spice Road.

I played at least two games for the first time and enjoyed both.

Tiny towns involves gathering resources and placing them in specific layouts on your own grid, to construct various types of building.  Various combinations of these score points at the end of the game, but empty spaces count against you.

Taverns of Tiefenthal is a dice driven deck-building game, in which you brew beer, expand your tavern and attract wealthy guests.

I would happily play both of these again.

Fort put in an appearance at another table, and there were other games which I failed to photograph /can't remember.

  Our popular lunch spot - the garden immediately outside the hall - was looking particularly pretty, and restful.
