September 2023 meeting
Lots played in our September meeting.
Another month, another fun-packed day of games. One table started off light with a rapid-fire sequence of 6 Nimmt, Sub Terra (we all died after rocks fell) and Die of the Dead. Meanwhile others started with Dune Imperium and a full-fat, all-expansions-included game of Terraforming Mars.
I bought Sub Terra when it first came out, but soon got rid of it. The game very much overstayed its welcome when played with three or four. But this time we played it with six, and it was a lot more fun! More players meant more character roles, so we could deal with more situations, and we seemed to get through the large stack of cave tiles quicker, so the end of the game came sooner.
While the Terraforming Mars table was still going, the rest of us played games of Taverns of Tiefenhall, Forbidden Desert (we all died), and Quacks of Quedlinberg.
The gaming continued, but with fewer pictures as I kept forgetting to get snaps of the games. There was a seven-player games of Seven Wonders (where I was a long way last at the end. No-one was making stone at my end of the table!) while the Terraforming Mars table shifted to playing Wingspan. Someone even broke out a traditional pack of playing cards!
The day finished off with Monty Python Fluxx, Welcome To… the Moon, and Flamme Rouge.
