Our April meeting was well attended. The day got started with tables diving into games of SETI, Seas of Havoc, Iberian Gauge, MLEM: Space Agency, and The Crew: Mission Deep Sea.

Seas of Havoc is a pirate themed deck builder and worker placer game, where players take on the role of captain, each of which has a unique set of cards. The game is split into two phases, with the first is the Island phase where where players send out their skiffs (workers) to various locations to buy new cards to improve their decks, and upgrade their ships. In the Sea phase, players use their cards to maneuver their ships around the board, searching shipwrecks and attacking each other or the sea monsters that may be present.

The game of Iberian Gauge was followed by a game of the Quest for El Dorado, a relatively simple yet fun deck-building racing game by Reiner Knizia. While the games of SETI and Seas of Havoc were still ongoing the other tables moved onto games of Carcassonne and Clank!.

In the afternoon the game of Seas of Havoc wrapped up and the table moved onto group favourite Heat, a racing game where players carefully manage their hand of cards to determine how far their car will move, while taking care not to take corners too fast and spin out as a result.

Having finally finished their game of SETI the group moved onto a game of Lord of the Rings: Fate of the Fellowship. Unfortunately the fellowship was unable to destroy the ring and therefore dark lord Sauron prevailed, conquering all of Middle Earth. Meanwhile the other tables moved onto games of Deep Sea Adventure, Splendor, Get Bit! and Zombie Dice.

The day ended with games of Vulture Culture and Ninja Dice.

Our next meeting is on 9th May, you can see our upcoming meetings on our calendar and our Aftergame page.
